C5 visa for doing business in Kazakhstan

Foreign nationals (except for citizens of the EAEU, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) wishing to establish or join a legal entity must first apply for a C5 business immigrant visa.

How long is a C5 visa issued for?

The primary C5 visa (single entry) is issued for a period of up to 90 days with the right to stay in Kazakhstan for the entire period of validity of the visa.

❗️ It should be noted that the primary single entry visa is issued only abroad in the Embassies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

After obtaining a C5 visa, a business immigrant within 2 months from the date of entry into Kazakhstan must:

▫️register a company in the Republic of Kazakhstan or join the participants (shareholders) of the existing company;

▫️when registering a company, to deposit the amount for the authorized capital with the bank.

If the above requirements are not fulfilled, the Migration Service decides to reduce the period of stay of a business immigrant for the period necessary for his/her voluntary departure.

Can I extend my C5 visa?

The C5 visa is extended by the Migration Service in the territory of the RK for a period of 2 years with the right to stay for the entire period of validity of the visa.

When extending a C5 visa, the applicant must submit a package of documents to the Migration Service, including a written request from the akimat.
