E-Visa to Kazakhstan

According to the current regulations, citizens of 109 countries* can apply for the electronic visa to Kazakhstan.
The following categories of single-entry visas are available for e-Visa:
  • B1, B2, B3 business
    from 30 to 60 days of stay
  • B12 tourist
    up to 30 days of stay
  • C12 for medical treatment
    up to 90 days of stay
In order to apply for the electronic visa, a foreigner will need an invitation letter from the Kazakhstan part (receiving person). For example, if you are planning a tourist trip, you will require an invitation letter from a travel company in Kazakhstan.

The host entity submits an application for the invitation to the migration service department. In practice, it takes an average of 5 business days to review and get approval of e-Visa. In some cases, the migration service may extend the period up to 30 calendar days.

The invitation is valid only for the visa recipient, does not apply to accompanying persons or family members and is not subject to renewal on the territory of the RoK.

For getting the electronic visa, you will need to:
  • register on the website of the Visa and Migration Portal www.vmp.gov.kz (portal is multilingual)
  • get acquainted with the requirements for obtaining the electronic visa, check the validity of your passport and presence of blank pages in it (for stamping entry into the RoK)
  • follow the "Electronic visa" section and enter the date and number of the approved invitation letter from the Kazakhstan part
  • fill in and confirm passport and other personal data
  • pay a consular fee of 60 USD for a single-entry tourist visa or 80 USD for a single-entry visa for business travel and medical treatment (payment only by bank card)
  • return to the portal's personal cabinet after payment in order to download the electronic visa in PDF format
  • check the data and print e-Visa before traveling to Kazakhstan
  • present a printed electronic visa while passing through passport control at one of the international airports of Kazakhstan

Processing time for e-Visa application on the portal is 30 minutes.
Pay attention:
  1. you can arrive in Kazakhstan with the electronic visa only by air flight
  2. when passing through the border control and during your stay in the country, you must have national passport and electronic visa in printed form
  3. e-Visa holders are exempt from the migration registration (TRP) upon arrival in Kazakhstan. It is sufficient for the host entity to submit a notification to the migration service about your stay in the country. This should be done within 3 business days since your entry date.
