In the context of increasing investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan, the state creates the most favorable conditions for entry, stay and activities of foreign investors.

The registration of an investor visa is regulated by the Rules for issuing an application for an investor visa for persons who are non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and carry out investment activities in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, approved by the order of the Minister of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 29, 2015 No. 1265 and the Rules for issuing invitations and visas to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Who is this service for?

An applicant for an A5 investor visa can be either an individual or a legal entity.

The following persons may apply for an investor visa:
  • managers, deputy managers and heads of structural divisions of organizations carrying out investment activities in Kazakhstan;
  • members of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
  • non-residents making investments in accordance with the AIFC investment tax residency program;
  • members of their families.

Benefits

  • The A5 visa is issued for up to 5 years with the right to extend for an additional 3 years. For AIFC investment residents and their family members, the visa is extended for up to 5 years.
  • Investor visa holders are exempt from the requirement to obtain a work permit.

Procedure timeframe

The term for consideration and issuance of an application via the portal is 3 working days from the date of submission of documents.

The term for processing a visa varies on average from 5 to 30 days (in rare cases). When applying for an investor visa, it is mandatory to have an application from an authorized body.
