The migration of individuals between countries in seek of new opportunities for employment, education, or residence has become a common practice in the contemporary world. One integral stage of this process is the legalization of documents. In this article, we present two cases of successful legalization of Kazakhstan documents at the Chinese Consulate.
Case #1:
The first case concerns a Turkish citizen who resided in Kazakhstan for a year and then received a job offer in China. To secure employment in China, he required a police clearance certificate from Kazakhstan, which also needed to undergo legalization.
The legalization process commenced with the preparation of the necessary document package. Subsequently, we applied to the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan to submit the documents by power of attorney. It is worth noting that the process at Department of Consular Services took three working days.
Following this, we proceeded to the Chinese visa application center in Astana, where we successfully completed the legalization process. It is important to remember that the validity of the police clearance certificate ranges from three to six months, emphasizing the pivotal role of process timing. Additionally, it is noteworthy that the Chinese visa application center does not refund the consular fee in the event of document rejection.
Case #2:
The second case involves a seventeen-year-old citizen of Kazakhstan residing in the city of Kostanay who sought our assistance in legalizing a police clearance certificate for enrollment in a university in China.
It is essential to acknowledge that minors cannot independently petition for document legalization. In this instance, WPK staff, acting on behalf of the youth's parent through a power of attorney, facilitated the document legalization. Clients did not have to visit Astana, and the legalization process only took two weeks.
Both of these cases illustrate the importance of proper preparation and organization of the document legalization process when relocating abroad for educational, employment, or other purposes.
