MULTIPLE ENTRY INVESTMENT VISA (INV)

An investment visa is issued to foreigners who have invested more than 8,500 BRV in the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

WORK VISA (E)
A work visa is issued based on confirmation of employment of a foreign employee.

3. Submitting documents for a visa to the Consulate of Uzbekistan

BUSINESS ENTRY VISA (B-1, B-2)

B-1 is issued for the period of accreditation to employees of representative offices of foreign commercial organizations, as well as foreign banks or other financial organizations in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


B-2 is issued for a period of up to 1 year to representatives of business circles temporarily residing in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

IT-visa

To apply for a visa, a recommendation from the IT Park Directorate indicating the validity period of the visa is required.


For foreigners located abroad, the visa is issued by a foreign institution of Uzbekistan.

For foreigners who arrived on non-electronic business, guest and entry visas for compatriots, the "IT visa" is issued and extended on the territory of Uzbekistan.


The reduction of the validity period or cancellation of the "IT visa" is carried out on the basis of a notification from the IT Park Directorate. In this case, the IT Park Directorate sends information to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan within three days.

GUEST VISA (PV-1, PV-2)

A visa is issued for a period of up to 1 year to foreign citizens making guest trips at the invitation of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan or at the invitation of foreign citizens permanently accredited and registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A visa is issued for a period of up to 1 year to foreign citizens making guest trips at the invitation of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan or at the invitation of foreign citizens permanently accredited and registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Procedure for obtaining a guest visa
  • Submission of an application – The inviting person (individual or legal entity) applies to the local department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
  • Receiving a notification – the Ministry of Internal Affairs issues a notification, which the inviting person submits to the Consular and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
  • Telex direction – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sends a telex to the relevant foreign institution of Uzbekistan abroad.
  • Informing the foreigner – The inviting person informs the foreign citizen of the telex number.
  • Submission of documents for a visa - A foreign citizen with a telex number applies to the embassy/consulate of Uzbekistan abroad to obtain a guest visa.

Foreigners apply for a visa at a consular office of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad. The basis is an invitation from a tourist organization operating in Uzbekistan.

The average visa affixing period is 3 working days.

To obtain a transit visa, foreign citizens and stateless persons must also have a visa for the destination country and travel documents with a confirmed departure date from Uzbekistan to the destination country.

The visa is issued at a foreign institution of Uzbekistan abroad.


The validity period of a transit visa is up to 3 months from the date of issue, the number of entries is one or two times, the duration of stay is up to 72 hours at each entry.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION OF FOREIGN CITIZENS IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION OF FOREIGN CITIZENS IN THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN
Upon arrival at the temporary residence point, foreign citizens, including those who arrived under a visa-free regime and a simplified e-visa procedure, are required to temporarily register with the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan or register at accommodation facilities and medical institutions.
A national passport is presented for temporary registration upon arrival at the destination within three days, excluding holidays and weekends.
Since July 15, 2018, remote registration of foreign citizens and stateless persons has been operating in Uzbekistan through the Emehmon system (emehmon.uz).
Upon arrival at the temporary residence point, foreign citizens, including those who arrived under a visa-free regime and a simplified e-visa procedure, are required to temporarily register with the internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan or register at accommodation facilities and medical institutions.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Citizens of Uzbekistan and their children holding a foreign passport who have not been withdrawn or have not lost their citizenship of Uzbekistan based on the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan cannot visit Uzbekistan based on a foreign passport. They must visit Uzbekistan using a valid foreign and biometric passport or based on a Certificate of Return to Uzbekistan. The certificate is issued by a foreign institution of Uzbekistan.
IMPORTANT NOTE
